What to do before you arrive at orientation

  1. Review your next steps

  2. Activate UNI and Columbia E-mail (UNIs are generated approximately 10 business days after you submit your enrollment deposit)

  3. Begin the Visa Process (International Students Only)

  4. Submit Official Admissions Documents

  5. Submit immunization documentation                                 All Columbia University students are required to comply with the University's immunization requirements, regardless of credit load and modality, prior to registering for classes. If you are unable to complete the University's vaccination requirements and need to request for a medical or religious exemption, please click here.)

  6. Update Emergency Contact and Residential Address for the Academic Year This information can be updated in Student Services Online (SSOL) via “Addresses: View and Update.”

  7. Submit Photo to ID Center - upload photo here; you will be notified in upcoming weeks about when and where you can pick up the ID)

  8. Apply for On-Campus Housing or Explore Off-Campus Housing Options

  9. Select Insurance Option

  10. Register for Fall 2022 Courses

  11. Complete Pre-Orientation Modules

  12. Review Your E-Bill Online and Payment Billing Schedule

    Your E-bill statement will be available through Student Services Online (SSOL). You will receive an alert at your Columbia email address indicating that it is available. Please visit the Student Financial Services website to find out more about financial aid and tuition payment options.
